The project was required to be executed in an accelerated manner as a critical path item, within four weeks. The work area was required to be encapsulated within an enclosure creating negative pressure. The work scope was more complex to execute given the excessive heat generated by the process pipework and the confined space.
The Altrad team were able to strip and remove all asbestos safely and efficiently and the work was completed to the desired quality within schedule.
The benefits
The Altrad team carried out this work in a manner which exceeded my expectations with regard to both their attitude and their approach to safety. This work was very difficult and complex to say the least.
I am delighted to say this work was completed on time and without any safety incidents and to schedule (which was an achievement in itself).
“Can you please relay my thanks to the team for all their efforts and hard work, which contributed to this outstanding achievement.”
Kindest regards
Edward Bates – Phillips 66 Humber Refinery, Fabric Maintenance Supervisor/Planner
