We are proud to shine a spotlight on David Black, a Piping Supervisor based in Saltend, England, who has gone the extra mile to raise money and awareness for Cancer Research UK.
Over the summer, David took on an incredible series of running challenges covering 39.3 miles in support of the charity. His fundraising journey began with a half marathon in June, where he achieved a personal best. He then completed a full marathon at Rumble in the Jumble IV in Hull on 1st August.
To finish his challenge, David successfully completed the Beverley Half Marathon on 23rd August and, impressively, shaved time off his previous personal best, finishing in 1 hour and 52 minutes.
In total, David has raised over £500 for Cancer Research UK. David is raising funds in memory of his sister, making these challenges especially meaningful to him. His dedication is helping to raise awareness, fund life-changing research, and support people affected by cancer.
