Ray began his career with Altrad at Fawley power station, near Southampton the age of 16 working with his father, Ray senior.
Throughout his career Ray has worked at a number of locations including Fawley refinery, Portsmouth dock yard and Didcot power station. During his tenure at Altrad, Ray has progressed from a thermal insulation apprentice to his current position as a quantity surveyor.
Mark Chester, insulation superintendent at Altrad, who has worked with Ray for over 30 years said; “It is a wonderful achievement to reach 50 years for a single company, Ray is such a pleasant guy who has served the company well and everyone who knows him speaks so highly of him – especially when it comes to his professionalism and dedication”.
