INEOS contracted Altrad to supply an rope access team to remove and reinstate cracked Fendolite Firecrete from the upper section of a VC storage sphere.
The historical cost of utilising scaffolding for this activity was approximately £100,000, however by using rope access to carry out the work, considerable cost savings were realised.

INEOS required the repair works to be undertaken in an expedient, safe and cost effective manner, avoiding downtime to its production schedule.
Altrad’s rope access team successfully removed and replaced the cracked Fendolite Firecrete of the storage tank, thus giving the newly refurbished storage tank a protective life span for a further 20 years.
The Altrad solution was delivered safely to the desired quality, ahead of schedule, whilst providing a considerable reduction in cost.
