Altrad’s Shaun McCabe, Lead Maintenance Operative in Hartlepool, North East England, held his yearly Christmas fundraising day – an event that sees him visiting office areas on site wearing fancy dress-themed PPE with gifts and games to play.
Shaun holds these fundraising days in order to raise money for Hartlepool Special Needs Support Group, a charity dedicated to providing support to young people with learning disabilities. This is a cause close to Shaun’s heart, with his son being diagnosed with autism meaning he regularly receives support from the group.
This year Shaun was able to raise over £1200 in just 1 day, which was all donated to the support group in Hartlepool.
Peter Evans, Altrad’s Site Manager at Venator, said “Shaun has been holding these fundraising days for the past 6 years and it’s great to see him spreading Christmas cheer across the site, while also raising money for an important local cause.”
