Alongside its long-standing partnerships with the French and New Zealand national rugby teams, Altrad is also proud to support minority and inclusive teams within the sport.
WRU Deaf, an affiliate of the Welsh Rugby Union, plays a vital role in making competitive rugby accessible to players of all ages with hearing loss. The team shares a long-standing relationship with New Zealand Deaf Rugby, with several historic fixtures played between the two sides.
As current champions, WRU Deaf are now in training and fundraising to defend their title at this year’s international tournament in Tokyo.
To support their campaign, Altrad has donated signed, limited-edition merchandise from the 2025 Lipovitan D July Series squad, including jerseys and rugby balls, which will be auctioned to raise vital funds.
The items were presented at Altrad’s Pembroke office by Sean Barrett, Senior Business System Analyst, to Jameson Barker, who recently earned his first cap as hooker for WRU Deaf.
