Project Overview
Altrad provides operational maintenance and outage support, along with life extension services, to EDF’s UK nuclear fleet to maximise generation output and plant lifetime. Together with this, we support beyond end of generation through the defueling phase.
Scope
Boiler Asset Lifetime Partnership - We provide technical support and solution development to mitigate risk to the Boiler Assets, and to maximise their operational performance.
Engineering - We undertake multi-disciplined Engineering scope within a wider EPC project environment, and as a standalone service.
Projects - We deliver a variety of life extension projects across the UK-wide fleet; ranging from full EPC, to any individual element, using our on-site teams for construction delivery.
Asset Support - We maintain core teams of 20+ employees on each station to support year-round maintenance and outage activity, plus event recovery solutions.
Defueling - Extension to LEA signed in Nov 2021, which bridges the gap between end of generation and decommissioning, and includes the removal of fuel stringers and flasks.
