We are delighted to shine a spotlight on Keelie Fleet, Plant Manager who is based in Goldthorpe, England, and has achieved a merit pass in her diploma in Business Sustainability!
The course involved around 70 hours of work, including revision hours, live online lessons for 3 hours each Thursday evening for 14 weeks, and a 3-hour exam to finalise learning. Keelie completed this all outside of her working hours while maintaining her day-to-day role.
The programme of study was an online course credit-rated by Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU), mapping on to the European Qualifications Framework. This diploma is awarded at Level 7 of the Scottish Credit and Qualifications Framework (SCQF) and carries 24 credits.
Keelie summarised her experience, by saying: “I was asked to be involved in a Net Zero project that one of operations was seeking to implement. Knowing very little about sustainability and carbon reductions, I felt I needed to do something to advance my knowledge on the matter. The course has given me a better understanding of business sustainability planning, green marketing and communication, ESG reporting and supply chain management.
I would like to thank Altrad for giving me this opportunity and for supporting my development goals.”
Amazing work, Keelie, and a big congratulations on your accomplishment! This certainly demonstrates your hard work, dedication and commitment to development.
