Just over a month ago, Altrad people across the UK and Ireland came together to support two important causes through fundraising events filled with coffee, sweet treats and conversation.
On or around the official date of Friday 26th September, our people in Renfrew, Selby, Warrington, Ellesmere Port, and Westlakes took part in Macmillan Cancer Support’s World’s Biggest Coffee Morning. From homemade goodies by our very own Star Bakers to shop-bought favourites, the tables were full and the turnout was fantastic. Thanks to everyone’s generosity and enthusiasm, we raised an impressive £1,439 for Macmillan – a charity that provides expert care, guidance and financial support to people affected by cancer.
Meanwhile, our Foynes office in Limerick hosted The Big Pink Breakfast Fundraiser in support of the Irish Cancer Society’s breast cancer services. Over coffee, sweet treats and conversation, colleagues raised over £200 – a wonderful show of community spirit and solidarity.
A huge thank you to everyone who baked, donated, organised or simply joined in. Your support helps these charities continue their essential work for those affected by cancer.
