Altrad support Macmillan Cancer Support’s coffee morning!

Last month, Altrad’s office and site teams across the UK came together to support Macmillan Cancer Support’s World Biggest coffee morning. Officially marked on Friday 27th September this year, Macmillan Cancer Support’s World’s Biggest coffee morning is an annual fundraising event where people across the UK host coffee mornings to raise money for Macmillan Cancer Support. Macmillan Cancer Support is one of the UK’s largest charities, offering specialist health care, information, and financial aid to those affected by cancer. It addresses the social, emotional, and practical impacts of cancer and advocates for better care, aiming to improve the lives of everyone with cancer in the UK.

Several locations – Renfrew, Aberdeen, Middlesborough, Ellesmere Port, Huddersfield, and Warrington – participated in the World’s Biggest coffee morning, raising an incredible total of £1,601.00! Each location saw an impressive turnout, with many of our team members showcasing their talents through an array of exceptional home-baked goods claiming the title of ‘Star Bakers’.

Outstanding work from all involved, and thank you to everyone who contributed to the cause! Macmillan Cancer Support is 98% funded by voluntary donations, so our fundraising is an essential part of making sure that they can continue to deliver the critical support people living with cancer need.
