We are delighted to announce that two of our teams at Hinkley Point C (HPC) have won awards from the Pride of Platforms. The Balance of Plant (BOP) Tanks team (Altrad Motherwell Bridge / MEH) achieved the silver award, and the APCO team (Altrad Babcock) achieved the bronze award. With a total of 57 platforms at HPC, this is a great accomplishment. This also marks the second time in six months that the BOP Tanks team has achieved the silver award, distinguishing themselves as being within the top ten on this landmark project.

Zero Harm is the overarching aim and priority for the HPC project and they look to reward those teams that create safe environments for people to work in. The Pride of Platforms initiative at HPC recognises the work that has gone into providing safe working environments on platforms across the project, including the site and teams that go above and beyond. The awards run on a quarterly basis, where each construction platform is screened against four foundations: signage, safe access, storage of materials, and housekeeping.

Congratulations to the Altrad teams on their success! Fantastic work from all involved. We should all take pride in our accomplishments and reflect on the effort of our people to put safety first in our working environments.

Let’s start the conversation

Quite simply, a journey at Altrad begins with a desire to create a better tomorrow.
