The event contained a mix of industrial and academic presentations, including focused tours of key innovations developed (or under development) and state-of-the-art facilities, a stand exhibition area and an evening poster session supported by 40 PhD students. Bert Holt represented Altrad Babcock by making the first conference presentation titled ‘from innovation to implementation’.
The event showcased the need for collaboration, technological innovation, and digitalisation to meet the cost reduction challenges facing nuclear new build and decommissioning in the UK and global nuclear market.
