Altrad accept the ‘Grow A Mo’ challenge for ‘Movember’

It is with great pride that we confirm that Andy Colquhoun, Executive Vice President of Operations based in Renfrew, Scotland, and Will Spicer, Head of HR UK Onshore, based in Warrington, England, have joined forces to take on the challenge ‘Grow a Mo’ for ‘Movember’ to raise vital funds and awareness for men’s health. Growing a moustache is a symbol that stands for healthier men and a healthier world, whilst also being an important conversation starter.

‘Movember’ is an annual event that takes place each November and aims to promote the awareness of men’s health issues, such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer and suicide prevention. It is the leading charity changing the face of men’s health and exists to help men live happier, healthier, longer lives.

With men dying on average 4.5 years earlier than women for largely preventable issues, men’s health is important. An increasing number of men are facing life with a prostate cancer diagnosis and across the world, testicular cancer is the most common cancer among young men.

Since 2003, the ‘Movember’ movement has funded over 1,320 men’s health projects around the world, challenging the status quo, shaking up men’s health research and transforming the way health services reach and support men.
