Every week on Total Lindsey Oil Refinery, contractors make a combined donation of £6,000 to a local charity. One of Altrad Services’ employees, Dean Mallet’s three year old son suffers from Cerebral Palsy. When the Altrad York Linings management team heard about Dean’s story, they spoke to Total who then kindly changed the rules to include the charity that has supported Dean’s family.
Heel and Toe Children’s Charity provides free Conductive Education Therapy for any child with Cerebral Palsy. Dean said they have considerably helped improve his son’s quality of life.
On 28 June, Dean’s family and members of the Heel and Toe charity were invited to Total to be presented with a cheque for over £6,000. The Total Management Team also took the group for lunch.
