There’s never a dull moment at our Norwich office!

I thought I would take a few moments to reflect on the tremendous progress that we have made over the past few years and to express my appreciation to the team that has made all this this happen.

Whilst many people associate our Norwich operation with our successful offshore activities, we also have a thriving onshore business, that is delivering well and is continuing to grow.

Our onshore presence began in 2014 with a single site award from British Sugar Emcor in Wissington, as we improved the performance of that contract, we extended our service offering, and were then awarded a second British Sugar site. Thanks to the dedication of our operations teams, within 12 months we had built up a team of 30 people working onshore, which provided a platform form which to further develop the region.

Turning the clock forward to today, it is remarkable to note, we now have a team of 80 onshore people, who deliver value to a range of onshore clients including RWE, National Grid, and Viridor. Growing a business organically in this region relies so much on good relationships and the recognition that you are ‘only as good as your last job’ and that takes great people – and I’m proud to say, we have some of the best in the industry.

As Chris Garland has said in his commentary, a key contract for this region is our contract with Perenco. This contract has been built upon trust – which means each and every opportunity received, requires us giving 110%, and going that extra mile to produce an extraordinary outcome for our client. Our team do a fantastic job, each and every day for Perenco and I wish to thank every member of the Perenco team for their commitment – which has recently been rewarded by an extension of this contract.

Moving forward, we don’t intend to standstill – we are determined to continue the growth story – and we see some major areas of growth for our business, which will provide great development opportunities for our people.

Finally, a reflection like this would not be complete, without recognising the many brilliant people who have made all this happen.

My sincere thanks to you all.
