We are thrilled to share the achievement of our people who completed a 13,000-foot tandem parachute jump at Beccles Airfield in England, on 11th July 2024 in aid of Hemsby Lifeboat!
The team, consisting of Martin Hill, Angela Pitan, Kurt Whittaker, Hayley Pattison, Arwen Woodgate, Michael Litten, Carl Wilkinson, Melissa Wilson, Ethan Steele, and Connor Riches, all work together in our Norwich and Great Yarmouth Service Delivery Centres in England. In total, they raised an amazing £4,324 for Hemsby Lifeboat with help from contributions from family, friends, colleagues and Altrad.
Hemsby Lifeboat are an independent charity based in Norfolk, run by volunteers and on call 365 days per year, 24/7, and are often called upon by the emergency services, including the Coastguard. Support often involves those in difficulty in rivers, at sea or in the Norfolk Broads.
Carl Wilkinson, General Manager, said, “The team suggested a CSR initiative that pushed people out of their comfort zones during a brainstorming session. To make this happen and raise money for Hemsby Lifeboat, a service that provides vital services for our local communities is a great accomplishment!
It was a brilliant experience, and we are grateful that we have been able to give back to an amazing cause. Thank you to everyone who supported us with the parachute jump!”
Well done to all of the team for taking on this challenge and raising money for a great cause!
