Steve receives the latest Good Better How award

Following a recent Altrad mental health awareness campaign, Steve Lindo noticed a colleague was acting differently and he became concerned.  Steve decided to reach out and offer some support. As is often the case under such circumstances, his colleague stated that he was fine and that he did not require any support.

Nevertheless, Steve’s colleague did then take the opportunity ask about the potential redundancies due to the coronavirus pandemic. During the conversation Steve became even more concerned for his colleague, as he had become anxious and was acting out of character.

Steve decided to speak with Altrad’s HR team about the situation and with their guidance, he decided to speak to his colleague incorporating a different engagement approach, and was able to direct him to our Employee Assistance Programme, where he is now receiving support.
