Skills Pathway Scheme secures the President’s Award for CSR Initiative!

We are thrilled to share that we have won the Altrad President’s Award for Corporate Social Responsibility for our Skills Pathway scheme! The President’s Awards were presented at the Group seminar in Montpellier, France, and Tony Jester, Executive Vice President of Operations, accepted the CSR award on behalf of everyone involved.

The President’s Awards recognise and promote sustainable contributions across the Altrad global organisation. The CSR award celebrates a business unit initiative that works to improve the communities and environments in which they work.

The scheme that secured the win is an innovative skills pathway into the process, engineering, and construction industry in Teesside, England, and is delivered through skills bootcamps, which are free, flexible courses of up to 16 weeks, giving people the opportunity to build up sector-specific skills. Upon completion of the programme, the learners will secure employment with Altrad. Since the success of the first cohort, the scheme has been expanded to Hampshire, England, and further programmes will be launched in 2024 across Pembrokeshire and Cumbria.
