We are delighted to share that 24 members of our Asset Management and Client Services teams came together on Friday 16th August 2024, to tackle the Arran challenge in aid of Cancer Research UK.

4 team members started the day early, completing a 37-mile bike ride around the north of the Isle of Arran in Scotland, incorporating the 2 highest road climbs totalling 2,000 feet. The remaining 20 members joined the cyclists after their ride, and together, all of the group conquered the challenge of climbing Goatfell.

At 2,867 feet, Goatfell is the tallest mountain on the island and is ranked as a strenuous hike. The journey usually takes between 4.5 to 6 hours and covers a distance of roughly 6.5 miles from the car park to the summit. The ascent becomes particularly challenging in the last 200 meters, where the terrain turns steep and rocky.

The team took on the challenge in support of Cancer Research UK. Cancer Research UK is the world’s largest independent cancer research organisation that, for the past 120 years, have been making discoveries that save lives. Supporting this amazing organisation powers life-saving research to beat cancer.

Well done, team, for taking on this challenge for a very worthy cause!

The team would like to extend their heartfelt thanks to everyone for their generous contributions. So far, the team have raised an incredible £6,200, including gift aid contributions! If you would like to support their efforts for Cancer Research UK, visit their fundraising page here.
