The i3 Decommissioning Partners is a Joint Venture between Altrad Services, Wood and Shepley Engineers. An integrated team from all JV partners working collaboratively with Sellafield Ltd in delivering the programme of works on site.
The Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) is an Internationally recognised charity, leading and recognising excellence in safety in a global arena. On the 12th September 2019, members of the i3 workforce travelled to Glasgow to receive the prestigious RoSPA Gold Safety Award, for the second year running. When you consider that i3 were benchmarked by the best, against the best in the world and were ranked amongst the best, this was a fantastic achievement.
i3 are now approaching one million hours worked without a Lost Time Accident (LTA) and we are all very proud of this achievement, especially when we consider it has been achieved during the installation of the Silo Emptying Plant 2 and the replacement of the East End Crane which included over 70 Cat “A” lifts and also the MSSS Roof Replacement Project.
With the continued determination and effort, other initiatives which contributed to the i3 RoSPA Gold Award such as Safety Observations (You Said We Did), FACE and Safe Start 2019, training 30 Mental Health First Aiders, forming a Mental Health Forum, and creating a specific i3 Mental Health page within Face-book have been a success.
