Food bank donations continue to pour in from our generous colleagues

Our food bank donation project continues to prosper after its launch in early May. The initiative has received large amounts of support from many of you from across the UK.

The Trussell Trust have recently received or collected donations from the following Altrad locations:

  • The Aberdeen office had twelve crates of food, toiletries and other essentials collected from them
  • The Ellesmere Port office and workshop donated almost 10kg of food the West Cheshire food bank
  • Our TATA Steelworks team and our Pyle office were able to make donations to the local Tabernacle Church food bank in Cwmavon
  • Our team based on Fawley refinery have been able to donate over 50kg worth of food and essential supplies which were collected over a three week period and donated to Southampton City Mission food bank.

Head of Performance Management James Holt said; “When we first launched this initiative it was during a difficult period for us all, and we were unsure on the initial response given the restrictions in place. Needless to say, our concerns were unfounded, we have seen outstanding progress made by the regional food bank collection points since the start of May. Since then I have been inundated by people getting in touch, asking how they can help this new project. The support from our colleagues to date has been staggering and I applaud all those have contributed.”

We wish to encourage all our teams to support this worthwhile cause as it will make such a positive difference to those most in need.
