In order to keep you updated on the latest developments, we have decided to provide a monthly update summarising the key discussion points from the EXCO and OPCO meetings. Each month a member of the team will provide a brief communication to share with you some of the topics discussed and any updates therefrom.
Please feel free to approach any EXCO or OPCO member if you have any further queries or require any additional information.
September “Good Better How” winner
The September winner was Kenny Reilly based at Petroineos in Grangemouth, Scotland. Kenny spotted a piece of defective handrail which could have resulted in a fall from height – he immediately acted to alert others to the danger. Well done Kenny, a great spot.
We are in the process of developing a 5-year, growth-driven strategy for the business which will encompass details of our future size and scale, the markets we intend to serve (existing and new), and the evolution of the services we will provide. We will be launching this new strategy early in January 2021.
Dashboard performance reporting
It is a clear aim of the leadership team to make performance data more accessible and visible to all, so we can gauge the overall impact our teams have, on the performance of the business. Over the next couple of months, we will launch a series of intelligent dashboards to more easily communicate the company’s performance in a number of areas including financial, health and safety, people and winning work.
Corporate social responsibility
There are a number of CSR projects underway within our UK business. We will continue to publicise these as they occur. Some notable achievements include; the first electric vans have now been delivered to our ExxonMobil site at Fawley as we start the journey of balancing our current diesel fleet with electric vehicles. A tree planting project has commenced in York on land adjacent to our Altrad York Linings facility. We intend to extend this initiative across the UK by working in collaboration with a number of our clients including; Sembcorp, Ensus, SABIC and EDF. Finally, to support our commitment to remove single use plastics from the workplace, a number of offices have now removed the plastic drinking cups and water dispensers, replacing them with sustainable flasks.
In 2021, we will introduce a number of awards to shine a spotlight on the great work of our people and our teams, to celebrate their contribution to our success and showcase the idea’s and innovation. Further details will follow in due course.
As we introduce the new intelligent dashboards, we will start to share more widely the information from our CRM system, including details of the new clients we are pursuing and our contract renewals, both of which support our growth ambitions.
