Altrad’s people support youth homelessness in Norwich

Altrad’s Portfolio Manager Carl Wilkinson and Commercial Manager Martin Hill will be participating in the Norwich Sleep Out 2021, where they will spend the night sleeping out on the streets in front of Norwich Football ground to raise money for The Benjamin Foundation on 11^th November 2021.

The Benjamin Foundation’s aim is to end youth homelessness and they are tackling the problem locally by providing a home and support to over 100 vulnerable young adults each night. They give stability, support education, training and careers advice to ensure young homeless people have the essential life skills to create an independent life.

Carl Wilkinson said, “I have been fortunate in my lifetime through the support of family & friends to receive an education, gain employment and have the security of my own home – all of which can often be taken for granted. However, for many people, this luxury is simply an unattainable possibility. I’m delighted to be participating in this event to support such a deserving cause.”

Martin Hill added, “This event is more important than ever for the charity, given the uncertainties following the pandemic. If we can help keep vulnerable young people off the streets and support their next steps in leading a successful independent life, then that would be fantastic.”
