In January 2023, Altrad was awarded the outage contract on Enfinium’s Energy from Waste facility in Ferrybridge, Knottingley, West Yorkshire, UK – for a condensed 3-week outage.
The work was initially tendered in late 2022, with each Altrad company pricing their own scope for the client. The client’s new Maintenance Manager entered into discussions with Altrad with the objective of awarding an integrated contract for the entire scope – thereby reducing the term of the outage and eliminating interface risks.
The scope of the outage included mechanical services, scaffolding, insulation and cleaning services, and refractory.
The outage commenced on the 19th February 2023 and was handed back to the client ahead of schedule – Steve Tosney, Enfinium’s Plant Manager, said “I’d just like to thank Altrad for an excellent outage. The outage was delivered 5 hours ahead of schedule and without incident. Please pass on my gratitude to your wider team, especially your site manager and supervisors, for their efforts over the past month.”
This project is an excellent example of Altrad’s holistic capabilities coming together to reduce complexity and add value on behalf of our clients.
